Gemini Gift Art session:

Since I'm out of commissioners atm and still want to work some I am going
to offer a gift art session. I have just acquired Paint tool SAI and am offering
one or two free bee spots as my practice pieces.

Since it's not a commission I will decide everything from pose to the format
of how much of the character will be shown and so on so forth.

I also decide if I want to use other media to complete the pic, if it's with or
without a BG, BUT! The ones to get drawn get the pics.

Application:
Anyone can apply, regardless if I have done commissions for it before or
not, and same character is allowed to apply with.

This is what to write in the application:

Character Name:
Short description:
Reference photos: (I want four angles: front, back, side and turned
slightly to the side, also known as 3/4 view. This goes for full body AND face)
Any requests on what you'd like it to be: (Example: Warrior is submitted,
request; make him look fierce)
A short "why I should pick you", for fun

(Not required)

Please note that I reserve the right to choose whomever I want, for whatever
reason I want and in what ever order I want. Which in practice will mostly
end up as "I felt like drawing that" as the motivation and reason. Artist logic.

"Why I should pick you?":Because male warriors are badass and rarely preferred to be drawn amongst most artists ;-)

(most prolly dunn wanna draw it since it's so hard to capture the butalness of a warrior, but that's just my belief)

Oooh really lovely pic, who made it?

I am a little puzzles over the wings as I first off had several sets (once drawing winged warriors for a novel of mine) and I am unsure on how I should do with the detailing; to overwork or not to over work... Sad thing is that too tiny details won't do anything for the big picture.

I worked on it 6h straight today, So I'm saving up some thinking and work for the next sitting. Man I put a lot of work into this one! I hope it will show on the final result. But I guess I have to suite myself for not drawing for a month (it really shows).

The spear looks nice in the lineart; it actually resembles the spear it's supposed to be. The sketch above is just that; a sketch.

But then I think the freebee session is over. We'll see how bored I'll get; more bored = longer giftart session.

@Eastern Magik: I'm glad you like it. It's gonna happen kinda a lot with it before it's done though: More work on the wings, the hands are gonna get some work (might redraw the line art) and I'm gonna work on the spear. Sorry to drag out on the time though. *hugs back with a cover over the mouth to not spread germs*
